Zara Phang
Zara Phang is a researcher at eftec, an associated member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and holds an MSc from Imperial College, where she specialized in Environmental Economics and Policy.
Since joining eftec in March 2009, she has provided support on various projects including providing guidelines on various methods of economic valuation, assessing the climate change implications of flood and coastal erosion risk management activities for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and evaluating the economics of whale hunting for the WWF.
Zara also holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh and interned at a supercomputer research centre before embarking on her current career path in environmental economics and policy. She continues to use her computing skills in her research position at eftec.
