Economic value evidence for implementing the Water Framework Directive across the EU
The objective of this study was to provide a review of the developments in science and economic valuation since the WATECO guidance. This project looks specifically at how economic value evidence can be used to answer policy questions posted by various articles of the WFD. Scientific developments include better data on quality changes, ecosystems services approach and improvements in the use of GIS for economic valuation.
