A framework for including socio-economic values within Environmental Impact Assessment - highlighting impacts of aggregate dredging on specific marine industries
This framework aims specifically to demonstrate how socio-economic information can be used in marine dredging licensing decisions in conjunction with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). Socio-economic information is used to show the interactions between different uses of the marine environment at both local and regional levels.

The framework will help to:
Feed socio-economic data into the EIA process for new marine aggregates licence areas Allow the comparison of socio-economic impacts of different marine uses
