Su Gulmus

Su joined eftec as an intern in September 2022 and became a researcher in January 2023.

At eftec, Su primarily focuses on chemicals policy. Her recent work includes a project on EU-wide binding occupational exposure limits (BOELs), the measurement and valuation of chemical pollution in the UK, the substitution of chemicals of very high concern in Europe, and the development of socioeconomic impact assessments and value chain analyses for various chemicals under EU chemicals regulations.

Su holds an MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from the University of Glasgow and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Durham University. Her master's dissertation examined the effectiveness of dietary change as a climate change mitigation strategy.  She is a native speaker of Turkish, fluent in English and proficient in French.
