Jozef Masseroli, a Researcher at eftec, joined the core team in October 2017 following the completion of his studies. His dissertation used hedonic property pricing to measure the disamenity value of living in proximity to the Iron Foundry of Trieste.

While doing his MSc, Jozef worked as a part-time research assistant at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) on the project “Ambient Air Pollution and the Growth of Cities”, which analysed the relationship between local air pollution and population density in the US using an instrumental variable approach requiring advanced GIS techniques. Jozef also worked as an intern at the Joint Inspection Unit of the United Nations system (JIU) and the Innocenzo Gasparini Institute for Economic Research (IGIER).

Jozef holds an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change (with distinction) from the LSE and a BSc in Economics and Social Sciences (cum laude) from Bocconi University and works in English, Italian and French.
