Benjamin is a Consultant at eftec, having joined in September 2023. He works on the economic valuation of non-market goods and services and their policy implications through tasks like literature reviews and data analysis. He has contributed to several projects estimating demand for a range of environmental goods and services, including marine and forest biodiversity and water quality, for public sector clients such as Defra and Natural England. He is interested in the intersection between environmental challenges and economic growth in developing countries and is currently involved in a review of the importance of global wetlands to poverty alleviation.
Benjamin holds a BSc in Economics from UCL, with a focus on environmental issues and mathematical modelling. At UCL, Benjamin worked as a research assistant for the CORE Economics textbook, aiming to integrate environmental policy issues throughout the textbook. He was selected to represent the UCL Economics Department in hosting academic events and podcasts with renowned economists. He is a native speaker of French, fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in German.
