Boris Babic is a Consultant at eftec, having joined the team as a Researcher in 2022. His main field of interest is economic valuation of non-market goods and services, where he supports both public and private organisations. Boris has contributed to projects covering the provision of water and wastewater services, species recovery, corporate transparency as well as impacts of housing developments.
Boris brings his expertise in statistical analysis to every project, using Python, STATA, and Microsoft Excel, to analyse noisy data and bring clear and actionable insights to clients. He has additional experience in geospatial datasets and GIS, scenario analysis and applying web scraping techniques to aid research and support modelling.
Boris also leads on eftec’s Environment Report – estimating GHG emissions from our operations and agreeing the level of offset we need to purchase to achieve carbon neutrality.
He holds a MA in Economics from University College London (UCL), where his dissertation examined the economic effects of mismanagement of natural resources, as well as a BA in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London.
