Duncan Royle is eftec’s Natural Capital Accountant and has been working with eftec since 2013. He is also a Chartered Management Accountant and has over twenty years’ experience in senior finance roles in the UK manufacturing and food industries.

He was instrumental in the development of the framework and methodology for Corporate Natural Capital Accounting for the Natural Capital Committee. Since then he has assisted several landowners in the production of natural capital accounts, including the first full scale corporate natural capital account in the UK for Forestry England, parks and public open spaces for the Greater London Authority and two London Boroughs and the UK Water Industry. He has also investigated the usefulness of Integrated Reporting within business for the effective management of natural resources.

Duncan holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and Consulting from Lancaster University, and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Management from Imperial College London.
