Emily joined eftec as an intern in May 2026, supporting the team across all service areas.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSocSc) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Cape Town (UCT), where she graduated on the Dean’s Merit List in 2022. She subsequently completed a BSocSc (Honours) in Economics at UCT.
During her Honours year, Emily’s thesis explored whether the green transition could drive sustainable development in resource-rich economies, focusing on copper mining in Zambia as the primary case study. The research examined the interaction between climate-driven demand, governance quality, and economic outcomes.
