Skye joined eftec in October 2026. She is particularly interested in land-use dynamics, climate policy, and how economic incentives influence environmental outcomes.

As a research intern at the University of Exeter’s LEEP institute, Skye conducted literature collation and synthesis contributing to the evaluation of the displacement of economic activity following various trade and conservation policies. She also worked on a LEEP project which analysed climate-risk disclosures, where she contributed to machine-learning workflows used to identity climate-related language in financial communications.

Her data-science dissertation investigated policy leakage and additionality, which featured the design and implementation of a Monte Carlo simulation extension in Python. She analysed the resulting visualisations and evidenced that awareness of the development potential of a plot is important to capturing additionality in a developer-conservationist dynamic game where land is highly contested.

Skye holds a BSc (hons) in Economics with Geography from the University of Exeter.
